Optional Products in Bundles
Product and RevOps admins commonly want to easily enforce bundling and product grouping rules without the need to maintain many approval and validation rules. Additionally, some products may have different pricing depending on how they are sold.
A common type of bundle design is:
- Products 1 and 2 must be sold together.
- Product 1 has a minimum quantity of n and product 2 has minimum quantity of m.
- Products 3 and 4 may be added
- Products 5 and 6 cannot be added
This is enforceable directly in the MonetizeNow product catalog and intractable on every quote. Each product in an Offering of type Subscription or one-time can be marked as optional or mandatory.
Within a Quote which products are included or excluded can be managed by the sales rep. Approval and validation rules can continue to be driven by the choices a rep takes.
Downstream, there is nothing to worry about. MonetizeNow ensures that subscriptions and billing are all handled based on the decisions taken. Further, optional products previously included or excluded can always be altered through a schedule change or an amendment.
