Payment Method Limits, Invoice Contact Edits, and HubSpot Linked Accounts

This release is packed with enhancements inspired directly by your feedback, designed to make quoting more accurate, account management cleaner, and everyday workflows faster.

💳 Payment Method Limits by Amount

Control when specific payment methods can be used based on invoice amount.

⚡ What's new?

You can now configure minimum and maximum payment amounts for ACH and credit card payments directly in Settings → Payment Gateway.

Previously, amount limits were only available for bank transfers. Now you can apply these controls across additional payment methods to better manage payment processing costs. This is especially helpful if certain gateways charge higher fees for specific payment methods and you want to encourage customers to use alternative options for larger payments.

🛠️ How it works

  1. Go to Settings → Payment Gateway and define the minimum and maximum allowed payment amounts for ACH or credit card payments.
  2. If you support multiple currencies, you'll see an Add option to configure limits per currency.
  3. When a customer attempts to pay an invoice using a payment method outside the allowed limits, they will see a message indicating that the payment method is not available for that invoice amount.
  4. These limits also apply to automatically charged invoices. If the invoice amount falls outside the configured limits, the charge will be blocked.
    • Tenant admins and sales admins can still process payments internally without these limits.

🧾 Edit Invoice Contacts Without Credit & Rebill

Update invoice contact information without needing to generate a credit and rebill.

⚡ What's new?

You can now update certain invoice contact details and memo fields on unpaid invoices without performing a Credit & Rebill.

Previously, even small updates, like correcting a billing contact, required creating a credit and rebilling the invoice. With this new setting, you can make these updates directly while keeping the original invoice intact.

🛠️ How it works

  1. Admins can enable this behavior under Settings > Billing > Invoices > Invoice Contact Settings. The options are:
    • Disabled (default): Credit & Rebill is still required to edit invoice contacts.
    • Enabled: Allows editing contacts on unpaid invoices.
    • Enabled if Period Open: Allows edits only when the financial period is open.
  2. If a tax provider is configured, the Billing Contact can be updated, but the Shipping Contact and Address Source cannot be changed, regardless of the setting selected. If no tax provider is configured, the Shipping Contact and Address Source may be updated.

🤝 HubSpot Linked Accounts

Include partners or resellers on a deal and carry that relationship through to your MonetizeNow quote.

⚡ What's new?

You can now associate a Linked Account when creating a MonetizeNow quote from a HubSpot deal. This allows you to include an additional company, such as a partner, reseller, or distributor, in the quoting workflow while keeping the quote tied to the primary account on the deal.

This makes it easier to support channel sales, reseller partnerships, and multi-party deals without disrupting your quoting workflow.

📘

Linked Accounts currently apply to the quoting experience only. Quotes can include contacts from both accounts, but billing and contract records will still be created under the primary account.

🛠️ How it works

  1. Add the partner or reseller company directly to the HubSpot deal.
  2. Once the company is associated with the deal, add the relevant contacts from each company.
  3. When selecting Create MonetizeNow Quote from the deal, choose a Linked Account during quote creation.
    • By default, only companies associated with the deal are shown, but you can optionally search across all accounts.
  4. After the quote is created, configure whether billing and shipping should use the primary account or the linked account.
    • When the Quote is processed, the billing and shipping details reflect the selected account.
    • The contract is still created under the primary account.
