Contract History, Renewal Uplift, and Rules Updates

This release includes a redesigned contract history view and easier renewal uplift controls, along with enhanced rules engine flexibility for admins.

๐Ÿ”— Contract Lineage View

Contracts on an account or bill group now show as a connected lineage, so you can see the full history of a relationship at a glance, not just a flat list.

The Contracts view now defaults to a new Cards layout, which groups contracts by lineage, with each card showing current status, number of terms, what's coming next, and current value. Opening any contract shows full details alongside all related quotes, with easy navigation between linked terms. The existing flat Table view remains available via a toggle.

๐Ÿ“ˆ Renewal Uplift at the Quote Header

Renewal uplift percentage can now be set for all products on a quote at once from the quote header, in addition to the existing per-offering and per-product controls.

  • If all products share the same uplift %, the header shows that value.
  • If values vary across products, the header shows "Varies."
  • If some products have an uplift set and others don't, it shows "X% (partial)" to indicate incomplete coverage.

For more information, see the Price Uplift on Renewal documentation.

๐Ÿ“Š Incremental ARR and MRR in Quote Analytics

The Quote Analytics side drawer now shows incremental ARR and incremental MRR alongside the existing ARR and MRR figures, making it easier to understand the net new revenue impact of a quote at a glance.

๐ŸŽฏ Validation Rules Now Support Inline Field Errors

Validation rules can now be tied to specific fields on the quote, surfacing errors exactly where reps need to act rather than only in the side panel.

  • Each validation rule now has an Error Location option:
    • Quote Header (default): existing behavior; the error appears in the Quote Alerts panel.
    • Specific Field(s): the error appears inline under the selected field(s), and the Quote Alerts panel shows a "jump to [field]" link to take the rep directly there.
  • When selecting specific fields, the picker suggests fields already used in the rule's conditions, in addition to all other standard and custom quote fields.

For more information, see the Validation Rules documentation.

๐Ÿงฎ Math and Formulas in Conditional Terms

Conditional terms and Terms & Conditions now support math expressions, allowing you to calculate values dynamically inside your content. Expressions are resolved when the quote document is generated. Combined with runtime variables, this gives you significantly more flexibility in how contract language is written and personalized.

For more information, see the Conditional Terms documentation.

๐Ÿ“… Rules That Compare One Date to Another

Approval and validation rules can now compare two date fields dynamically. For example, you can create a rule to check whether a support offering's start date is at least one month after the contract start date. Previously, rules could only compare a date against a fixed value; now they can reference another field, making it possible to enforce date-based relationships that vary per deal.

๐Ÿ“ฆ Offering, Rate, and Product Fields Now Available in Rules

Offering Status, Offering Start & End Date, Rate Status, Rate Start & End Date, and Product Status are now available as conditions in the Rules Engine, covering every offering, rate, and product on the quote.

  • Create approval rules that trigger when a quote includes an inactive offering on an amendment or renewal.
  • Create validation rules that block reps from submitting a quote with an inactive offering entirely.

๐Ÿ”€ "Early Renewal" Now Available in Rules

The rules engine now recognizes Early Renewal as a distinct quote type, so you can build approval, validation, and conditional term rules that apply specifically to early renewal quotes.
